11 Day Best Hits of Japan Tour 2018(Tour Code: JBT)


Depart Australia on Cathay Pacific to Japan via Hong Kong, fly overnight.



Both Sydney and Melbourne passengers connect flight to Narita in Hong Kong in the morning and arrive in Tokyo, the capital of Japan in the afternoon. You are met and transferred to your hotel. You will have your welcoming dinner in your hotel restaurant tonight.

Day 03: Narita – Nikko – Tokyo (B.L.D)

Today you will travel to Nikko, a small city at the entrance to Nikko National Park. Visit Toshogu Shrine, Japan's most lavishly decorated shrine complex and mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. Nikko has been a center of Shinto and Buddhist mountain worship for many centuries, and Nikko National Park continues to offer scenic, mountainous landscapes, lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, wild monkeys and hiking trails. You will visit Kegon Water Falls and Lake Chuzenjiko. Stay overnight in Tokyo.

Day 04: Tokyo Sightseeing (B.L.D)

Today’s tour includes Edo Museum Asakusa Temple, a very popular Buddhist temple, built in the 7th century, Imperial Palace, home of imperial family, which only opens to public on 23rd December and 02nd January each year, Ginza, Tokyo brand name shopping  area, same as New York 5th Avenue and Shinjuku area.

Day 05: Tokyo – Hakone – Mt. Fuji – Kawaguchigo (B.L.D)

Travel to Hakone by coach. Visit the Peace Park, Owakutani Hot spring and have a cruise on Lake Ashi. Visit Mt. Fuji. Climb up to the 5th station by coach, about 2300 meters above the sea level. Visit the Visitor Centre. Enjoy hot spring spa in your hotel in the evening.

Day 06: Isawa – Lake Suwako – Takayama (B. L. D)

Proceed to visit Lake Suwako,  After that we drive to Takayama. We will visit the Historical

Government House (Takayama Jinya). The building served as The Tokugawa government's administrative building for 177 years (1692-1868). Of the 60 local government offices that were once spread throughout Japan, this is the only one still in existence. We will also visit

Old Private Houses (Nationally Recognized Historical Building Preservation Area). The Town Village still stands on the east side of the Miyagawa River flowing through Takayama, and in the middle of it is Sanmachi, where Edo period houses remain. This district was designated as an area of important traditional buildings by the Japanese Government.

Note: please prepare overnight bag tonight; your big luggage will be sent to Hiroshima by bus tomorrow morning, so you will need to use overnight bag tomorrow night.

Day 07: Takayama – Shirakawago Gassho Village – Nara( B.L.D)

We will start with the visit to the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama, one of Japan's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Shirakawa-gō (White River Old District) is located in the village of Shirakawa. These villages are well known for their houses constructed in architectural style known as gassho-zukuri ("prayer-hands construction") style, which is characterized by a thatched and steeply slanting roof resembling two hands joined in prayer.  The design is exceptionally strong and combined with the unique properties of the thatching, allow the houses to withstand and shed the weight of the region's heavy snowfalls in winter. Afterwards we will proceed to Nara.

Note: Overnight bag will be used tonight.

As there is no twin or double room available, so the whole group will need to use single room tonight. For those people who will share with others, please make sure you prepare your personal items for the night.

Day 08Nara – Kyoto – Hiroshima (B.L.D)

In the morning, you will visit Nara Deer Park and Todaiji Temple Heian Shrine. Afterwards you will visit the Golden Pavilion and enjoy the Kimono show at Nishinjin showroom. Afterwards, take a bullet Train from Kyoto to Hiroshima.

Day 09:  Hiroshima – Miyajima – Hiroshima (B.L.D)

After breakfast you will leave the hotel for a sightseeing tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima. You will visit the Itsukushima Shrine. Miyajima Island is the popular name of Itsuku-shima Island situated in Miyajima Town southwestern Hiroshima. It is a scenic sight in which the mountains, sea and red shrine buildings blend in harmony, and the entire island is designated as a historic site. It is one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan, along with Matsushima in Miyagi and Ama-no-hashidate in Kyoto. Next, visit Peace Memorial Park. The Genbaku-dome (The Atomic Bomb Dome) is the symbol of Hiroshima, the city that advocates peace in the world. It is located in Hiroshima and faces Hiroshima Bay in the Seto Inland Sea. It was originally the Hiroshima Industrial Promotion Hall built in 1915. While all structures vanished in the atomic bomb explosion, only this building miraculously remained standing. It was 6 August 1945 when the first atomic bomb in history was dropped on Hiroshima. Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 10: Hiroshima  Okayama (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you are transferred to Kurashiki, is one of the largest industrial towns in Western Japan, as well as a sightseeing city that preserves the atmosphere of olden day Japan. You will visit Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, which is a symbolic area of the town.

Day 11: Okayama – Kobe – Osaka  (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you are transferred to Kobe, Visit Old Sake Breweries Museum, and drive to Osaka.

Upon arrival at Osaka, visit Osaka Castle and Shinzaibashi shopping area.

Day 12: Osaka – Hong Kong– Australia (B)

After breakfast, you are free until transfer to airport for your flight homewards to Australia via Hong Kong (28th March group), or you flight back to Australia

Day 13, 09 Apr: Australia

Arrive in Australia today. Your unforgettable Japan Cherry blossom tour ends.
