17 Day Indochina World Heritage Tour 2016 - 2017

Day 01: AUSTRALIA – SIEM REAP
Depart Australia to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. Stay overnight in Siem Reap. Stay overnight at Saem Siem Reap Hotel**** or similar.

Day 02: SIEM REAP (B.L.D)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Ta Prohm, Angkor Wat and view lovely sunset from Phnom Bakeng. Stay overnight at Saem Siem Reap Hotel**** or similar.

Day 03: SIEM REAP – LUANG PRABANG (B.L.D)
Visit Floating Village of Chong Khneans and take a boat trip to Tonle Sap. Then transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure to Luang Prabang, Laos. Upon arrival, visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrift Wat Mai. Wat Xieng Thong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, King Palace. Climb up to the top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Transfer to the hotel. Enjoy an evening Dinner at hotel with a cultural & traditional dance performance at the front of King Palace. Stay overnight at Villa Santi Hotel**** or similar.

Day 04: LUANG PRABANG (B.L.D)
After breakfast at hotel, start your visit to the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang house. Then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Lunch at Pha Ann Restaurant en-route. Stay overnight at Villa Santi Hotel**** or similar.

Day 05: LUANG PRABANG – HANOI (B.L.D)
After breakfast at hotel, you are then transferred to Ban Long Lao, the Hmong village to visit the Kuangsi waterfall and the village surrounding. In the afternoon, you are transferred to the airport for flight to Hanoi, Vietnam. Upon arrival, you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Stay overnight at Stay Seven Hotel***** or similar.

Day 06: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B. L. D)
You will have breakfast in the morning, and then we depart from Hanoi and travel by air-conditioned bus through the Red River Delta to beautiful Ha Long Bay. The scenic drive will pass through some of the rural landscape before arriving in the afternoon to the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. Ha Long Bay consists of more than 3000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes. Upon arrival, check in the junk at noon. You will experience a fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay to visit Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, and round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset and enjoy fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on the Phoenix Deluxe Junk**** or similar.

Day 07: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B. L. D)
In the morning, you will go for a morning cruise to visit Man's head island, Tortoise Island, Luon cave, Bai Tu Long bay, Toad Island, Bai tho mountain. Afterwards, return to Halong city and have lunch on board. We will drive back to Hanoi for the night. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Stay overnight at Stay Seven Hotel***** or similar.

Day 08: HANOI – HUE (B. L. D)
Today city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Fine Art Museum. Then move on to the Temple of Literature, Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Hue. Stay overnight at Eldora Hotel**** plus or similar.

Day 09: HUE (B. L. D)
This morning, take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda-one of the most beautiful Pagodas in Vietnam built at the end of 16th century and Kinh Minh Mang's tomb. Afternoon visit Imperial palace: a citadel surrounded by large moats. Then continue to visit King Tu Duc’s tomb. Enjoy traditional music on Perfume River in the evening. Stay overnight at Eldora Hotel**** plus or similar.

Day 10: HUE – HOI AN (B. L. D)
In the morning, drive over the mighty Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. On the way there, we will visit Cham Museum where the remaining evidence of the Champa civilization can be viewed. Then visit the Marble Mountains, which is fascinating maze of cave and temples, hidden with five sacred marble rocks. Visit Hoi An town with Japanese Bridge, Old House, Chinese Temple and Hoi An Cultural Museum. You will stay overnight at Vinh Hung Resort**** plus or similar.

Day 11: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN (B. L. D)
You will take a boat ride on Thu Bon River for the overview of Hoi An Ancient City, then followed by a visit to My Son, Vietnam's most important Cham ruins site and Bang An, one of Vietnam's best preserved Cham towers. Stay overnight at Vinh Hung Resort**** plus or similar.

Day 12: HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON (B.D)
In the morning, you are free at leisure to explore Hoi An ancient town. In the afternoon, you are transferred to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, you are transferred to hotel. Stay overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 13: SAIGON – CAN THO (B.L.D)
In the morning, you will visit the former Presidential Palace, the History Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Saigon Post Office. After that, continue to drive to Can Tho City, considered as the capital of Mekong Delta. Visit Caodaist Temple in Cai Lay District on the way. Dinner with a traditional musical show called Mekong Amateur Music – the world cultural Heritage at Mekong Food Garden. Stay overnight at Holiday One Hotel**** or similar.

Day 14: CAN THO – SAIGON (B.L.D)
In the morning, you will take a boat ride to visit the floating market and fruit garden. In the afternoon, you will travel back to Saigon by bus. Stop at China Town to visit the bustling wholesales market and Holy Lady Temple. Stay overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 15: SAIGON – CU CHI - SAIGON (B. L. D)
Today you will drive to Cu Chi guerrilla's area and visit the underground tunnels. There are more than 200km of tunnels that were built by the Communist guerrillas during the war. You will be free in the afternoon for shopping. Stay overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 16: SAIGON – AUSTRALIA (B)
You are at leisure today for shopping until transfer to airport for your flight homeward to Australia.

Day 17: AUSTRALIA
You arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Vietnam tour ends.

Inclusions:
International and domestic economy class airfare, airport tax and fuel surcharge (currently $620 for Vietnam Airlines and $560 for Singapore Airlines, subject to change), 4 star hotel accommodation or similar on twin-shared basis, one night on a 4 star Junk Boat in Halong Bay, transfers and transport by air-conditioned vehicle, cruises as stated in the itinerary, meals and sightseeing with entrance fees as indicated in the itinerary, English-speaking guide and ADT travel bag.

Exclusions:
Visa fees (currently $100 for Vietnam visa, $70 for Cambodia visa and $70 for Laos visa, subject to change), travel insurance (strongly recommended), tip to guide and driver ($5 per person per day), personal expenses and all other services not mentioned in the itinerary.
