18 Day Vietnam and Cambodia Enchantment 2017 - 2018


Depart Australia in the morning and arrive in Hanoi in the evening. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. Stay overnight at Stay Seven Hotel***** or similar.

Day 02: HANOI – LAOCAI (B.D)

You are free at leisure today. After dinner, you are transferred to the Railway Station for an overnight train to Lao Cai (Tulico or King Express, quad shared soft sleeping compartment).


In early morning, you arrive at Lao Cai Train station, you will be met and transferred to hotel for breakfast. Sapa tour includes visit to ethnic market at Sapa town, then Cat Cat village H'mong people and Cat Cat waterfall lying in a small village. There you will come to know traditional culture of the Vietnamese people. Stay at Chau Long Sapa Hotel**** or similar.


Travel by car to Taphin village where Red Dzao and Black H'Mong will make you feel at home. En route, you will pass the ruins of French - era church. Then transfer to Lao Cai Station for overnight train to Hanoi (Tulico or King Express, quad shared soft sleeping compartment). 

Day 05: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B. L. D)

On arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up and transferred for Breakfast and then we depart from Hanoi and travel by air-conditioned bus through the Red River Delta to beautiful Ha Long Bay. The scenic drive will pass through some of the rural landscape before arriving in the afternoon to the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. Ha Long Bay consists of more than 3000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes. Upon arrival, check in the junk at noon. You will experience a fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay to visit Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, and round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset and enjoy fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on the Phoenix Deluxe Junk****or similar.


In the morning, you will have breakfast and from there, go for a morning cruise to visit Man's  Head Island, Tortoise Island, Luon Cave, Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. Afterwards, return to Halong city and have lunch on board. We will drive back to Hanoi for the night. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight at Church Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 07: HANOI – HUE (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Fine Art Museum. Then move on to the Temple of Literature, Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Hue. Overnight at Romance Hotel**** plus or similar.

 Day 08: HUE (B. L. D)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda-one of the most beautiful Pagodas in Vietnam built at the end of 16th century and Kinh Minh Mang's tomb. Afternoon visit Imperial palace: a citadel surrounded by large moats. Then continue to visit King Tu Duc’s tomb. Enjoy traditional music on Perfume River in the evening. Overnight at Romance Hotel**** plusor similar.

 Day 09: HUE – HOI AN (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then drive over the mighty Hai Van Pass. On the way there, we will visit Cham Museum where the remaining evidence of the Champa civilization can be viewed. Then visit the Marble Mountains, which is fascinating maze of cave and temples, hidden with five sacred marble rocks. Visit Hoi An town with Japanese Bridge, Old House, Chinese Temple and Hoi An Cultural Museum. Overnight at Thanh Binh Resort **** plus or similar.

 Day 10: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a boat ride on Thu Bon River for the overview of Hoi An Ancient City, then followed by a visit to My Son, Vietnam's most important Cham ruins site and Bang An, one of Vietnam's best preserved Cham towers. Overnight at Thanh Binh Resort**** plus or similar.


Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you are free at leisure to explore Hoi An ancient town. In the afternoon, you are transferred to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the former Presidential Palace, the History Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Saigon Post Office. Overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 12: SAIGON – CAN THO (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will drive to Cu Chi guerrilla's area and visit the underground tunnels. There are more than 200km of tunnels that were built by the Communist guerrillas during the war. After that, continue to drive to Can Tho City, considered as the capital of Mekong Delta. Visit Caodaist Temple in Cai Lay District on the way. Dinner. Overnight at Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 13: CAN THO – SAIGON (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you will take a boat ride to visit the floating market and fruit garden. Then continue to visit Southern Tyni Pagoda and the local market. Lunch with Southern Amateur Musical Performance. In the afternoon, drive back to Saigon. Stop at China Town to visit the bustling wholesales market and Holy Lady Temple. Overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 14: SAIGON –  PHNOM PENH (B. L. D)

Breakfast. You are free until transfer to airport. In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, visit the Independent Monument Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum. Stay overnight at Ohana Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 15: PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP (B.D)                                                                     

After breakfast, you will visit Wat Phnom, Toul Sleng Museum and Pailin Souvenir Shop. Afterwards proceed to Siem Reap Province on road. En-route, visit Stong (Kompong Thom). Arrive at Siem Reap in the afternoon, check into hotel. Visit local market & free at own leisure. Stay overnight in Siem Reap at Saem Siem Reap Hotel**** or similar.

 Day 16: ANGKOR WAT (B.L.D)                                                                                               

Visit Banteay Srey Temple and South Gate Angkor Thom, Bayon. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue your tour to Ta Promh Temple and Angkor Wat Temple. Stay overnight in Siem Reap at Saem Siem Reap Hotel**** or similar.

Day 17: CULTURAL VILLAGES – SIEM REAP – AUSTRALIA (B.L)                           

After breakfast, visit Cambodian Cultural Villages. Your programs include Wax Museum, which exhibits the well-know persons of Cambodia since the century until the present, Miniatures which gather all the miniatures of famous historical buildings and structures, former capital Ou Dong, Royal palace, National Museum, Wat Phnom, Phsar Thmey, 12th century Kompong Kdey Bridge, 16th century reclining Buddha, Independent Monument and more..., Carving (Carvers who work in Cambodian Cultural village have skills on carving stone, wood and carving silver), Traditional Dances Show (Cambodia has a long and rich tradition of classical dance, also known as Apsara dancing. Though some of the dances are shared with other cultures in the region, the slow graceful style of Cambodian dance is unique) and Villages (There are many types of houses in Khmer village such as House Peth, House Kantaing, House Raungdoeung, Sala Chan as a small pagoda, etc). You are free at own leisure until transfer to airport for flight to Australia. 

Day 18: AUSTRALIA                                                                                                            

You arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Vietnam and Cambodia tour ends.

International and domestic economy class airfare, airport tax and fuel surcharge (currently $540 for Vietnam Airlines and $570 for Singapore Airlines, subject to change), 4 star hotel accommodation or similar on twin-shared basis, two night accommodation in a quad shared compartment on the train between Hanoi and Laocai, one night accommodation on a 4 star Junk Boat in Halong Bay, transfers and transport by air-conditioned vehicle, cruises as stated in the itinerary, meals and sightseeing with entrance fees as indicated in the itinerary, English-speaking guide and ADT travel bag. 


Travel insurance, Vietnam visa fee (currently $100, subject to change), Cambodia visa (currently $70, subject to change), tip to guide and driver ($5 per person per day), personal expenses and all other services not mentioned in the itinerary.

PS: The train to Sapa is Tulico Train or King Express Train. Each cabin has four soft sleeping berths. If you want to upgrade, you are required to pay extra as follows:
