18 Day Vietnam and Myanmar Double Indulgence Tour 2017 - 2018

Day 01: AUSTRALIA – HANOI ARRIVAL

Depart Australia on Vietnam Airlines in the morning and arrive in Hanoi in the evening.Upon arrival, you are welcome at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Church Hotel***** or similar.

Day 02: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. You will have breakfast in the morning, and then we depart from Hanoi and travel by air-conditioned bus through the Red River Delta to beautiful Ha Long Bay. The scenic drive will pass through some of the rural landscape before arriving in the afternoon to the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. Ha Long Bay consists of more than 3000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes. Upon arrival, check in the junk at noon. You will experience a fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay to visit Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, and round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset and enjoy fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on the Phoenix Deluxe Junk****or similar.

Day 03: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B.L.D)

In the morning, you will have breakfast and from there, go for a morning cruise to visit Man's  Head Island, Tortoise Island, Luon Cave, Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. Afterwards, return to Halong city and have lunch on board. We will drive back to Hanoi for the night. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight at Church Hotel**** or similar.

Day 04: HANOI – HUE (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Fine Art Museum. Then move on to the Temple of Literature, Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Hue. Overnight at Romance Hotel**** plus or similar.

Day 05: HUE (B. L. D)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda-one of the most beautiful Pagodas in Vietnam built at the end of 16th century and Kinh Minh Mang's tomb. Afternoon visit Imperial palace: a citadel surrounded by large moats. Then continue to visit King Tu Duc’s tomb. Enjoy traditional music on Perfume River in the evening. Overnight at Romance Hotel**** plusor similar.

Day 06: HUE – HOI AN (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then drive over the mighty Hai Van Pass. On the way there, we will visit Cham Museum where the remaining evidence of the Champa civilization can be viewed. Then visit the Marble Mountains, which is fascinating maze of cave and temples, hidden with five sacred marble rocks. Visit Hoi An town with Japanese Bridge, Old House, Chinese Temple and Hoi An Cultural Museum. Overnight at Thanh Binh Resort **** plus or similar.

Day 07: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a boat ride on Thu Bon River for the overview of Hoi An Ancient City, then followed by a visit to My Son, Vietnam's most important Cham ruins site and Bang An, one of Vietnam's best preserved Cham towers. Overnight at Thanh Binh Resort**** plus or similar.

Day 08: HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON (B.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you are free at leisure to explore Hoi An ancient town. In the afternoon, you are transferred to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the former Presidential Palace, the History Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Saigon Post Office. Overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 09: SAIGON – CAN THO (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will drive to Cu Chi guerrilla's area and visit the underground tunnels. There are more than 200km of tunnels that were built by the Communist guerrillas during the war. After that, continue to drive to Can Tho City, considered as the capital of Mekong Delta. Visit Caodaist Temple in Cai Lay District on the way. Dinner. Overnight at Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel**** or similar.

Day 10: CAN THO – SAIGON (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you will take a boat ride to visit the floating market and fruit garden. Then continue to visit Southern Tyni Pagoda and the local market. Lunch with Southern Amateur Musical Performance. In the afternoon, drive back to Saigon. Stop at China Town to visit the bustling wholesales market and Holy Lady Temple. Overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 11: SAIGON (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Jade Pagoda, Lacquerware Factory and War Crime Museum. After lunch, transfer you to Ben Thanh Market for shopping or free at your own leisure. Overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 12: SAIGON – YANGON (B.D)

You are free until transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon, capital of Myanmar.

Arrive at Yangon International Airport (the main gateway to Myanmar). Welcome and start your sightseeing including Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda, Kaba Aye Pagoda, Maha Pasana Cave and Kyaukhtat Kyi 72m length reclining buddha. Then visit Great Shwe Da Gon Pagoda (One of the wonder of the World and itself is solid brick stupa (Buddhist reliquary) that completely covered with gold. It rises 326 feet (99 m) on a hill. Stay Overnight at Kandawgji Palace Hotel**** or similar in Yangon.

Day 13: YANGON – BAGAN (B.L.D)

After Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Bagan. Sightseeing in Bagan including Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Kyansitha Umin ( north ), Gubyaukgyi Temple ( WetkyiInn ), U Parli Thein, Htolominlo Temple,  After lunch visit Lacquer-ware shops and Tharabar Gate and Sularmani Pahto. In the evening, enjoy a sun-set view of Bagan from  Shwesandaw Pagoda. Stay overnight at Bagan Riverview Hotel**** or similar in Bagan.

Day 14: BAGAN – MANDALAY – AMARAPURA – SAGAING (B.L.D)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, start your sightseeing in Mandalay including Mahagandaryone Monastery for offering alms food to thousand monks, Mahamuni Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself, Tapestry works, Wood carving & bronze castling workshops, Marble carving workshop and silk weaving home cottage. After lunch, visit Sun U Ponnyashin Pagoda, Sagaing Hill and environ and Kaungmudaw Pagoda. In the evening, enjoy a sun set view at U Bein Bridge. Stay overnight at Mandalay Hill Hotel**** or similar in Mandalay.

Day 15: MANDALAY – HEHO – INLE (B.L.D)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Mandalay Airport for Inle. Arrive at Heho Airport and then proceed to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake and transfer to hotel on the Lake by boat. Then Start the sightseeing on Inle Lake, one of Myanmar best-known sights. The Intha people mostly inhabit the lakeshores and floating villages including a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen. Continue to see the floating gardens, built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. In the afternoon, continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and the jumping cat monastery. Stay overnight at Inle Resort Hotel**** on Inle Lake.

Day 16: INLE – HEHO – YANGON (B.L.D)

After Breakfast at Hotel, then boat transfer to Nyaungshwe and drive to Heho Airport for fly back to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon and transfer to hotel. Relax and visit the heart of Yangon, Sule Pagoda, City Hall , Mahabandula Park, China Town and also visit famous Bogyoke Aung San Market former named Scott Market. In the evening, visit to White Marble Buddha Image and White Elephant House. Back to hotel and stay overnight at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel**** or similar in Yangon.

Day 17: YANGON – AUSTRALIA (B)

You are at leisure today until transfer to airport for your flight to Australia.

Day 18: AUSTRALIA

Arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Vietnam and Myanmar tour ends.

Vietnam Airlines: $4,680 per person based on twin/double share.

Vietnam Airlines: $4,780 per person based on twin/double share.

Inclusions:

International and domestic economy class airfare, airport tax and fuel surcharge (currently $480 for Vietnam Airlines and $570 for Singapore Airlines, subject to change), 4 star hotel accommodation or similar on twin-shared basis, one night on a 4 star Junk Boat in Halong Bay, transfers and transport by air-conditioned vehicle, cruises as stated in the itinerary, meals and sightseeing with entrance fees as indicated in the itinerary, English-speaking guide and ADT travel bag.

Exclusions:

Travel insurance, Vietnam visa fee (currently $100, subject to change), tip to guide and driver ($5 per person per day), personal expenses and all other services not mentioned in the itinerary.
