19 Day Vietnam and Cambodia Adventures Tour (Tour Code: VCA)

Day 01: SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE – HANOI

Depart Sydney or Melbourne in the morning on Vietnam Airlines via Saigon and arrive in Hanoi in the evening. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02: HANOI – LAOCAI (B.D)

You are free at leisure today. After dinner, you are transferred to the Railway Station for an overnight train to Lao Cai.

Note: Today our guide will delivery train tickets to you when the guide picks you up at Hanoi hotel. Please keep the train tickets during your time on train (No Tour guide on the train).

Accommodation: 4 berth soft sleeping cabin (for quad shared).

 

Day 03: LAOCAI – SAPAT – CAT CAT VILLAGE – SAPA (B.L.D)

In early morning, you arrive at Lao Cai Train station at 5:30 am, you will be met and transferred to hotel for breakfast. Sapa tour includes visit to ethnic market at Sapa town, then Cat Cat village H'mong people and Cat Cat waterfall lying in a small village. There you will come to know traditional culture of the Vietnamese people. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Sapa.

Day 04: SAPA – TAPHIN ETHNIC VILLAGE – LAOCAI (B.L.D)

Travel by car to Taphin village where Red Dzao and Black H'Mong will make you feel at home. En route, you will pass the ruins of French - era church. Then transfer to hotel in Sapa.

Day 05: SAPA – HANOI (B.L)

After breakfast, you are travelling back to Hanoi on road. Upon arrival, you are taken to Hanoi hotel and stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 06: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B.L.D)

On arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up and transferred for Breakfast and then we depart from Hanoi and travel by air-conditioned bus through the Red River Delta to beautiful Ha Long Bay. The scenic drive will pass through some of the rural landscape before arriving in the afternoon to the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. Ha Long Bay consists of more than 3000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes. Upon arrival, check in the junk at noon. You will experience a fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay to visit Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, and round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset and enjoy fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on the junk boat.

Day 07: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B.L.D)

In the morning, you will have breakfast and from there, go for a morning cruise to visit Man's head island, Tortoise Island, Luon cave, Bai Tu Long bay, Toad Island, Bai tho mountain. Afterwards, return to Halong city and have lunch on board. We will drive back to Hanoi for the night. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Stay overnight at Stay overnight at Hanoi.

Day 08: HANOI – HUE (B.L.D)

In the morning, you will have breakfast. Today city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Fine Art Museum. Then move on to the Temple of Literature, Lake of Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Hue. Stay overnight at Hue.

Day 09: HUE (B.L.D)

This morning, take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda-one of the most beautiful Pagodas in Vietnam built at the end of 16th century and Kinh Minh Mang's tomb. Afternoon visit Imperial palace: a citadel surrounded by large moats. Then continue to visit King Tu Duc’s tomb. Enjoy traditional music on Perfume River in the evening. Stay overnight at Hue.

Day 10: HUE – HOI AN (B.L.D)

In the morning, drive over the mighty Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. On the way there, we will visit Cham Museum where the remaining evidence of the Champa civilization can be viewed. Then visit the Marble Mountains, which is fascinating maze of cave and temples, hidden with five sacred marble rocks. Visit Hoi An town with Japanese Bridge, Old House, Chinese Temple and Hoi An Cultural Museum. You will stay overnight at Hoi An.

Day 11: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN (B.L.D)

You will take a boat ride on Thu Bon River for the overview of Hoi An Ancient City, then followed by a visit to My Son, Vietnam's most important Cham ruins site and Bang An, one of Vietnam's best preserved Cham towers. Stay overnight at Hoi An.

Day 12: HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON (B.D)

After breakfast, you are transferred to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, you are transferred to hotel. Stay overnight at Saigon.

Day 13: SAIGON – CAN THO (B.L.D)

In the morning, you will visit the former Presidential Palace, the History Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Saigon Post Office. After that, continue to drive to Can Tho City, considered as the capital of Mekong Delta. Visit Caodaist Temple in Cai Lay District on the way. Dinner with a traditional musical show called Mekong Amateur Music – the world cultural Heritage at Mekong Food Garden. Stay overnight at Can Tho.

Day 14: CAN THO – SAIGON (B.L.D)
In the morning, you will take a boat ride to visit the floating market and fruit garden. In the afternoon, you are travelling back to Saigon by bus. Stop at China Town to visit the bustling wholesales market and Holy Lady Temple. Stay overnight at Harmony Hotel**** or similar.

Day 15: SAIGON – PHNOM PENH (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. You are free at own leisure until transfer to airport. In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, visit the Independent Monument Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 16: PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP (B.D)

After breakfast, you will visit Wat Phnom, Toul Sleng Museum and Pailin Souvenir Shop. Afterwards proceed to Siem Reap Province on road. En-route, visit Stong (Kompong Thom). Arrive at Siem Reap in the afternoon, check into hotel. Visit local market & free at own leisure. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 17: ANGKOR WAT (B.L.D)                                                                                               

Visit Banteay Srey Temple and South Gate Angkor Thom, Bayon. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue your tour to Ta Promh Temple and Angkor Wat Temple. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 18: CULTURAL VILLAGES – SIEM REAP – SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE (B.L) 

After breakfast, visit Cambodian Cultural Villages. Your programs include Wax Museum, which exhibits the well-know persons of Cambodia since the century until the present, Miniatures which gather all the miniatures of famous historical buildings and structures, former capital Ou Dong, Royal palace, National Museum, Wat Phnom, Phsar Thmey, 12th century Kompong Kdey Bridge, 16th century reclining Buddha, Independent Monument and more..., Carving (Carvers who work in Cambodian Cultural village have skills on carving stone, wood and carving silver), Traditional Dances Show (Cambodia has a long and rich tradition of classical dance, also known as Apsara dancing. Though some of the dances are shared with other cultures in the region, the slow graceful style of Cambodian dance is unique) and Villages (There are many types of houses in Khmer village such as House Peth, House Kantaing, House Raungdoeung, Sala Chan as a small pagoda, etc). You are free at own leisure until transfer to airport for flight to Sydney, Australia via Hanoi and fly overnight.

 

Day 19: SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE                                                                                                                      

You arrive in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Vietnam and Cambodia tour ends.

 

Tour departure dates: 14/05, 11/06, 16/07, 13/08, 03/09, 08/10 and 12/11/2018

Tour price: $4,380  now $3,980 per person, twin or double share for flying with Vietnam Airlines

Single supplement: $1,180

(Single supplement doesn’t apply to the train cabin. The person who wants and pays for the single occupancy will have to share the four berth cabin with other passengers.)

Tour price includes:

1. Vietnam Airlines international and domestic economy class airfare;

2. Airport tax and fuel surcharge (currently $380, subject to change);

3. Fifteen night accommodation at 4 star hotels as indicated or similar on twin-shared basis;

4. One night accommodation in a quad shared cabin in a train from Hanoi to Sapa;

5. One night stay on a 4 star Junk Boat in Halong Bay;

6. Transfers and transport by air-conditioned vehicle all through;

7. Cruises as stated in the itinerary;

8. Meals as specified in the itinerary;

9. Sightseeing with entrance fees as stated in the itinerary;

10. Professional English-speaking guide.


Tour price excludes:

1. Travel insurance;

2. Vietnam visa fee (currently $100, subject to change);

3. Cambodia visa fee (currently $90, including postage, subject to change);

4. Tip to guide and driver ($5 per person per day for the guide and driver to share);

5. Personal expenses and all other services not mentioned in the itinerary.

PS: The train to Sapa is Tulico Train, King Express Train or similar. Each cabin has four soft sleeping berths. If you want to upgrade, you are required to pay extra as follows:

                        To three sleeping berths: $90

                        To two sleeping berths: $150
