Depart to Prague via Shanghai on China Eastern Airlines and arrive in Shanghai in the evening.

Day 02, 03 SEP: PRAGUE ARRIVAL (D)

Connect your China Eastern flight in Shanghai to Prague, capital of Czech Republic. You will arrive at Prague airport in the morning. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the city centre of Prague for the morning city tour. Visit the Charles Bridge, Jewish Quarter, the Prague Astronomical Clock at Old Town Hall, Wenceslas Square. Panoramic boat ride on Vltava river will follow. Accommodation at the hotel and free afternoon. Accommodation: 4*** hotel.

Day 03, 04 SEP: PRAGUE (B.D)

After breakfast there will be another sightseeing tour in Prague. Visit the museum at the Loreta and see the most famous valuable object in its treasury, the "Prague Sun". Enter the Hradcany Castle Grounds and visit St Vitus Cathedral and the Golden Lane. Descend (on foot) to the embankment of Vltava River and Franz Kafka Museum, dedicated to the famous writer. There will be some free time in the afternoon (optional visit to the National Museum is possible). Enjoy a Moravian roast meat dinner with beer in a typical Czech pub with music.

Day 04, 05 SEP: PRAGUE – HLUBOKA – CESKY KRUMLOV – CESKE BUDEJOVICE (210 km) (B.D)

In the morning, depart southwards to Hluboka to visit one of the most beautiful castles in Bohemia. Next stop will be in Cesky Krumlov, one of the most picturesque towns in Europe. It's a little like Prague in miniature, and the historic Town Centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a walking tour around Cesky Krumlov Castle, St Vitus Church and enjoy the narrow streets. Continue to Ceske Budejovice, capital of South Bohemia for a visit to the world renown Budweiser Brewery (organised tour with beer tasting will follow). Accommodation in Ceske Budejovice Hotel****

Day 05, 06 SEP: CESKE BUDEJOVICE – JINDRICHUV HRADEC– TELC– VIENNA (250 km) (B.D) 

After breakfast enjoy a short city tour with a stop at Ottokar II Square. Continue onwards to Jindrichuv Hradec. Visit the Museum of Jindrichuv Hradec with famous cribs. Next stop will be in Telc. It is known for its Italian Renaissance architecture with colourful houses, arcades and ornamental gables. Short stop at the Old Town Square. After that cross the border into Austria and arrive in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Accommodation in Vienna or nearby. Accommodation: 4*** hotel.

Day 06, 07 Sep: VIENNA (B.D)

 

Today's city tour will start with Schonbrunn Palace (visit to the state rooms and appartaments). Panoramic tour will follow: Vienna State Opera, Parlamentgebaude, Vienna City Hall, Theatre, University. Walk towards the old centre with Hofburg Palace, Spanische Hofreitschule, St. Stephen’s Cathedral. There will be some free time in the city centre.In the afternoon, visit the Hundertwasserhaus and ride upon the famous Vienna Giant Wheel (Wiener Riesenrad) in Wurstelprater. Accommodation: 4*** hotel.

Day 07, 08 SEP: VIENNA – BRATISLAVA (B.D)

After breakfast cross the border into Slovakia for a morning arrival in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Enjoy a city tour including Central Grand Place, Primate's Palace, the Slovak National Theater, St                      

Martin's Cathedral and Bratislava Castle. Afternoon trip to the nearby Male Karpaty wine region. Visit to the one of local wine producer for wine tasting. Accommodation in Bratislava or near: 4**** hotel.

Day 08, 09 SEP: BRATISLAVA – BRNO – SLAVKOV U BRNA – KROMERIZ – OLOMUOC (cca 350km) (B.D)

Depart Bratislava towards the north back towards Czech Republic via Brno – the second biggest Czech town. Enjoy a short city tour of Brno. Next stop will be at Slavkov U Brna, historically known as Austerlitz, and site of one of Napoleon’s most famous battle. Continue onwards to historical town of Kromeriž (UNESCO World Heritage Site) for walk through the renovated city centre and to visit Gardens and Castles at Kromeriz (UNESO World Heritage Site) In the late afternoon arrive at Olomouc and see the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Holy Trinity Column in the old town centre.  Accommodation: 4*** hotel.

Day 09, 10 SEP: OLOMUOC – OSWIECIM - KRAKOW (280 km) (B.D)

 

In the morning, depart from Olomouc towards the east. Cross the border to Poland and arrive at Oswiecim to see the Concentration Camps – Auschwitz I & II Memorial and Museum. After that, travel to Krakow for a panoramic tour and walk to the Main Square – the historic centre of Krakow. Accommodation: 4**** hotel.

Day 10, 11 Sep: KRAKOW – WIELICZKA – KRAKOW (40 km) (B.D)

Visit Krakow main sights: Wawel Royal Castle with Royal Palace, Church of Virgin Mary, Jagiellonian University etc. In the afternoon, drive to Wieliczka and visit the world renown Salt Mine. Return to Krakow and enjoy a Jewish dinner with concert in Kazimierz (the traditional Jewish quarter).

Included: entrance fees to Royal Palace apartments, to Virgin Mary church and to Salt mine in Wieliczka.

Day 11, 12 SEP: KRAKOW – ZAKOPANE – SPIS – KOSICE (290 km) (B.D) 

Travel to Zakopane – famous Polish winter resort. Stop at ski jumping area and walk through the town centre with typical mountain architecture. Than cross the Vysoke Tatry mountains into Slovakia. Visit the ruins of Spiš Castle in eastern Slovakia which forms one of the largest castle sites in Central Europe (UNESCO World Heritage). Arrive in the late afternoon at the town of Kosice, the largest city in eastern Slovakia(European Capital of Culture in 2013). Enjoy a short city tour and check into your accommodation at a 4**** hotel.                       

Day 12, 13 SEP: KOSICE – TOKAJ – SAPANTA – SIGHETU MARMATIEI (360 km) (B.D)

Travel south in the morning and cross the border into Hungary. Arrive at Tokaj and visit one of the wine cellars where the famous dessert wine Tokaj is produced. Continue east passing the town of Nyiregyhaza, crossing the border into Romania to see the region of Maramures, one of the most authentic and traditional regions in the country. In the afternoon, arrive at Sapanta for a visit to the famous Merry Cemetery. Accommodation in the town of Sighetu Marmatiei. Stay at a 4**** hotel.

Day 13, 14 SEP: SIGHETO MARMATIEI – CLUJ NAPOCA – MEDIAS – SIGHISOARA (360 km) (B.D)

In the morning visit one of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed-Wooden Churches of Maramures, either the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple in Barsana or the Church of Saint Nicholas in Budesti Continue south to the region of Transylvania and arrive at the town of Cluj Napoca. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city and break for lunch. Next stop will be in Medias to visit Piata Unirii, Medias with the nearby St Michael’s Church. In the late afternoon arrive at the popular Sighisoara, birthplace of Count Dracula. Visit the walled old town centre with main

sights. Accommodation: 4*** hotel.

Day 14, 15 SEP: SIGHISOARA – BRASOV – SINAIA – BUCHAREST (330 km) (B.D)

Drive to Brasov and visit the old town centre with city walls and Black Church. Visit to the Bran castle will follow. This castle is associated with the novel Dracula. Continue south to Sinaia and visit the Peles Castle – former summer king’s residence. In the evening, arrive at Bucharest – the capital of Romania. Accommodation: 4**** hotel

Day 15, 16 SEP: BUCHAREST (B.D)

City tour of Bucharest, which is also known as “the Paris of East”: Piata Unirii, Bucharest, Curtea Veche, Romanian Athenaeum, Lipscani district, an Orthodox church, Arcul de Triumf, King Michael I Park. Visit the Palace of the Parliament – colossal building from Communist era and the second biggest administrative building in the world. Visit the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant. Some free time in the City Centre in the afternoon. Dinner in a typical restaurant with folklore program.

Day 16, 17 SEP: BUCHAREST – SIBIU – HUNEDOARA – TIMISOARA (560 km) (B.D)

In the morning, depart from Bucharest to the northwest of the country. Travel from Pitesti to Sibiu to Hunedoara. Upon arrival, visit Hunedoara Castle, a Gothic-Renaissance castle which is one of the largest castles in Europe. In the evening, you will arrive at the town of Timisoara. Accommodation: 4**** hotel.

Day 17, 18 SEP: TIMISOARA – SZEGED – BUDAPEST (320 km) (B.D)

 

In the morning, enjoy a city tour of Timisoara known for Secessionist architecture. The central square, Piața Victoriei, is surrounded by baroque buildings and the Timisoara Orthodox Cathedral, with its mosaic-patterned roof tiles and icon gallery. Nearby is the Habsburg-era square Piața Unirii. Continue to the north, crossing the border back into Hungary and short city tour of the town Szeged which is known also for its salami factory. In the evening arrive at the capital of Hungary – Budapest. Accommodation: 4**** hotel.        

Day 18, 19 SEP: BUDAPEST (B.D)

 

Enjoy a Budapest city tour after breakfast including Millennium Monument, Heroes' Square (Hosok tere), St Stephen's Basilica, Országházl, the Hungarian Parliament House (inside visit), Fisherman's Bastion, Royal Square. Enjoy a panoramic boat ride on the Danube River followed by some free time in the city 

centre on Vaci Street. Enjoy dinner in a typical Hungarian restaurant with local music and folklore program. Enjoy watching a Csardas performance, a traditional Hungarian folk dance.

Day 19, 20 SEP: BUDAPEST – SHANGHAI (B)

After breakfast, you are transferred to Budapest Airport for your flight to Australia via Shanghai on China Eastern Airlines. You will fly overnight.

Day 20, 21 Sep: SHANGHAI – AUSTRALIA

You arrive in Shanghai in the morning. Upon arrival, you are transferred to hotel for refreshments. In the afternoon, you are transferred to airport for your flight homeward to Australia. You will fly overnight.

You will arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Eastern Europe tour ends.
