23 Day China Ceramics Tour with Majestic Yangtze Cruise May 2019 (Tour Code: CCT)

 Day 01, 05 May: Sydney – Guangzhou

Depart to Guangzhou on China Southern Airlines in the morning and arrive in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you are met by our tour guide and transferred to hotel for the night.

Day 02, 06 May: Guangzhou – Jingdezhen (B.L)

In the morning, visit Yuexiu Park and the Five Ram Statue. After lunch, visit Beijing Road Shopping Street. After that, you are transferred to airport for a flight to Jingdezhen. Upon arrival, you are met by our tour guide and transferred to hotel in Jingdezhen. Check in for PWS and Jingdezhen workshop orientation.

Days 03 – 14, 07 – 18 May: Jingdezhen

Today you will visit a ceramic workshop in Jingdezhen.

Day 15, 19 May: Jingdezhen – Xi’an  (B)

In the evening you fly to Xi’an. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a hotel.

Day 16, 20 May: Xian (B.L.D)

In the morning, visit the Ceramic Terra Cotta Warriors Factory to see how the local make the Ceramic Terracotta figures, the same way, which their ancestors used to make the Terracotta Warriors and Horses for the Qin Shi Huang’s Tomb. Then you will enjoy a full day excursion to the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang guarded by the famous Terracotta Army, 7000 life-size clay statues each individually crafted, complete with chariots and horses. You will also visit Banpo Neolithic Villages. In the evening, you will attend a dinner performance of Tang era music and dance at the grand Tang Theater.

Day 17, 21 May: Xi’an – Yichang – Yangtze Cruise (B.L.D)

You will fly to Yichang in the morning on Air Chang’an. Upon arrival, you are met and start your Yichang city tour. After dinner, you will board a five star cruise ship for your Yangtze River cruise. With a rich Chinese cultural heritage of thousands of years, the Three Gorges is not only a picturesque natural gallery, but also a spectacular treasure house.

Day 18, 22 May: Yangtze River Cruise (B.L.D)

Three Gorges Dam/Xiling Gorge - Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam at Sandouping, the largest in the world. Later sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. There could be an additional Three Gorges Shore Excursion (river conditions permitting), offering an interesting glimpse into life in the Xiling Gorge region.

Day 19, 23 May: Yangtze River Cruise (B.L.D)
Take a trip through the Goddess Stream Small Gorges, which is narrower than the Three Gorges, but very impressive. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic gorge. Additional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City (river conditions permitting), an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 20, 24 May: Yangtze River Cruise (B.L.D)
Today there will be an shore excursion to Fengdu, visiting either the “Ghost City”, known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill, or the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional Shore Excursion to Shibaozhai (river conditions permitting), with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”.

Day 21, 25 May: Chongqing – Guangzhou (B.L.D)

CZ8139, 25 May Chongqing – Guangzhou 15:00/17:00  

The cruiser arrives at the destination – Chongqing. Disembark the cruise and start a visit to Panda House to see the cute pandas. After lunch, you are transferred to airport for your flight to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, you are met by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 22, 26 May: Guangzhou – Sydney (B)

CZ325, 26 May Guangzhou – Sydney 21:25/08:25 (27 May)

You are at leisure to explore this exciting city on your own until afternoon. You will be then transferred to airport for your flight homeward to Sydney. You will fly overnight.

Day 23, 27 May: Sydney

You will arrive in Sydney in the morning. Your unforgettable China Ceramics tour ends.
