Depart Sydney to Kunming in the evening and fly overnight to Kunming.

Day 02, 15 APR: KUNMING (B.L)

Arrive in Kunming (Provincial Capital) in the morning, our tour guide will meet you at the airport. You will first be taken to a local restaurant for Kunming’s famous Rice noodles soup. After breakfast, you will travel to the incredible Stone Forest (about 89 km drive from Kunming) which is regarded as one of the top natural wonders in China. When arriving close to the Stone Forest, you will notice many small to medium stones shooting up in the fields directing their visitors to the amazing stone pinnacles of the forest.  In the evening, check into your hotel in Kunming. Stay overnight at Kunming Jinjiang Hotel**** or similar.

Take a morning flight to Shangri-La to explore the Tibetan cultural areas including its Songzanlin Monastery, alpine Bita Lake and Shu Du Lake which are located in the “Pudacuo National Park”. In the evening you will visit a local Tibetan family where you will have a chance to enjoy Tibetan songs and dance. You are also invited to dance with local people. Stay overnight at Shangri-La Argyle Hotel**** or similar.



After breakfast, drive to the edge of the Tibetan plateau, which is near the upper source of the Yangtze River to visit its tremendous Tiger Leaping Gorge. After that, our coach will take you to an ancient town called “Lijiang”. Arrive at Lijiang in late afternoon. Upon your arrival, check into your hotel. Enjoy a leisure time walking in the old town. Day 05, 18 APR:  LIJIANG (B.L.D)

This morning visit Naxi tribal group’s village. You will have a chance to see the famous Naxi Baisha Murals which tell the story of Naxi and Han legends, and the 600-years-old Ten Thousand-Blossom Camellia Tree at the Yufeng Lama Temple. The cable car will take you to the Spruce Meadow which provides the best angle to see the Snowy Jade Dragon Mountain. Stay overnight at Metropark Holiday Hotel Lijiang***** or similar.


Day 06, 19 APR: LIJIANG -- DALI (B.L)

Today you will visit the Black Dragon Pool and then travel by road to Dali. On the way you will pass through many enchanting minority villages (170kms). The afternoon tour will bring you to the ancient Bai village in Xizhou. You will see some ancient dwellings and experience the 'Three Cups of Tea Tasting Ceremony”, accompanied by traditional music and dance.

Day 07, 20 APR: DALI (B.L)

Today you will visit the Three Towering Pagodas in Chongshen Monastery which was built in 836AD. You will also see the Bai Minority People tie their dying clothes with wax, visit a beautiful Bai Minority Fishing Village with its traditional style courtyards at Xizhou Town.  After that, enjoy a cruise on the beautiful Erhai Lake on small fishing boats to see the overwhelming sceneries. Stay overnight at Dali Regent Hotel**** or similar

After breakfast, take a flight to Kunming. Upon arrival, you are met and taken to Jianshui by coach. You will check into your hotel for the night. Stay overnight at Jianshui Zhujia Garden Inn Hotel**** or similar


This morning, you will visit Jianshui old town which includes Twin Dragon Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges, which is classified as an important cultural relic under provincial protection. And then continue to visit Family Zhu`s Garden and Confucian Temple. After that, you will travel to Yuanyang (around 3 hrs). On the way there, you can enjoy the impressive terrace fields and villages of the Hani tribal group. Yuan-Yang’s Rice Terraces are the masterpiece landscape created by the Hani ethnic group. They have been named a land sculpture. The terraces are listed as a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. Stay overnight at Yuanyangsheng Village Hotel**** or similar.


Day 10, 23 APR: YUANYANG (B.L)

Today you will have a panoramic rice terraces tour that starts from Duoyishu Scenic Area at sunrise. As the sunlight appears on the horizon, it will bring you an unforgettable scenic sight. The Bada panoramic rice terraces start from the base of the mountain extended to the top of the mountain. Later you will drive 40 minutes to Laohuzui Scenic area. It is situated in the core area of Yuanyang Rice Terraces. The rice terraces are more rugged and marvelous. It looks like a natural picture painted by an artist. Stay overnight at Yuanyangsheng Village Hotel*** or similar.


Day 11, 24 APR: YUANYANG – PU’ER  (B.L.D)

Today you will travel to Pu’er by bus (approx. 320km).  En-route you will see the famous Ancient Tea and Horse route which will take you traced back to the ancient time of Tang Dynasty. According to the history, tea and other products were transported to Tibet through this route and to be traded for much needed horses. You will also pass through some of the mountains and steep valleys that mark Yunnan’s Landscape. You will also see the corn and wheat field that to be replaced by bananas, rubber and tea plantations. In the evening, stay overnight at Pu’er Jing Lan Hotel*** or similar



After breakfast, you will visit the Pu’er Tea Exhibition Garden. The name “Pu’er” is granted by the popularity of its local tea in Asia as well as other countries of the world. It is located on the foot of Yingpan Mountain. The exhibition includes a visit to Pu’er Tea Museum, tea making workshop, tea-picking and tea appraisal garden. After that, you will travel on road to Xishuangbanna. (2.5 hrs drive). Check into your hotel in Xishuangbanna. Stay overnight at Sightseeing Xishuangbanna Hotel**** or similar.



After breakfast, you will first visit the Arboretum Botanic Garden to see the Tropical Plants. The myriads of these tropical plants form a picturing surrounding that attracts visitors to stay on for hours. In the afternoon, our coach will take you to Jing Hong which is the capital city of Xishuangbanna. On the way to Jing Hong, you will visit the Wild Elephant Valley. You will also visit Jinzhen Octagonal Pavilion which is one of the best examples of the Dai (Minority group) style architecture. The pavilion is about 21meter high and 10 meter in diameter at the bottom. It was built in 1701 century as a place for worshipping the Buddha. In the evening, stay overnight at Sightseeing Xishuangbanna Hotel**** or similar.

After breakfast, you are at leisure until transfer to airport for your flight to Kunming. Upon arrival, you will visit the city centre, which is an popular attraction with its two squares (Jinma Biji Square and Dongfeng Square). Of these, Jinma Biji Square (also known as Jinbi Square) has the most eye-catching archways and stylish architectures. You will also have an interesting visit to the local biggest Bird & Flower Market of the Old Kunming City. After dinner, you are transferred to the airport for your flight homeward to Sydney.
