This is a 10 Day Tour of which takes you on a trip of East China. You will visit the major cities of Suzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Take a cruise on the famous West Lake and so some shopping on Hefang Street. Visit Suzhou, Venice of the East and see the many canals and some of Suzhou's famous classical gardens which have earned in the title 'Garden City.' Stroll down Nanjing Road and visit the Bund, which contains many leftover Western buildings from a time when Shanghai was divided into foreign concessions.

MU712, 27 Mar, Sydney – Hangzhou 12:450/20:00

Sydney passengers depart at 12:45pm upon MU712, arriving at Hangzhou at 20:00pm. You are met and transferred to hotel for two nights.

Day 02, 28 MAR: HANGZHOU (B.L.D.)

Take the boat cruise on the magnificent West Lake, the symbol of the city and crammed full of interesting sights. Later you will visit the famous pedestrian shopping street- Hefang Old Street in Hangzhou, which is unique by showcasing a variety of Chinese crafts. Tea is an important part of Hangzhou`s economy and culture. You will taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea at The No.1 tea plantation.



Today you will have free time on your own. In the evening, you will travel to Suzhou. Known as “Venice of the East”, Suzhou is built around the Grand Canal. The city’s many excellent classical gardens have entitled Suzhou the “Garden City”. Stay at Suzhou Suyuan Hotel**** or similar.

Day 04, 30 MAR: SUZHOU (B.L)

After breakfast, start your tour to Suzhou Museum. Suzhou Museum is a Museum of Ancient Chinese art, paintings, calligraphies and handmade crafts. And then walk along Pingjiang Road. This 800-year old street is the best preserved ancient water lane. The Garden of the Master of the Nets is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive because of its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. Even more than the architectural achievement is the mood of tranquility and harmony that it embodies. Later you can have optional Grand Canal cruise in Suzhou.



Travel to Shanghai by coach. Upon arrival you will visit Nanjing Road, and then explore Pudong area. You could attend an optional Acrobatic show in the evening at your own cost.


Day 06, 01 APR: SHANGHAI (B.L)

Stroll down Nanjing Road and the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, a sweeping area along the Huangpu River, where foreign concessions were located and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. Here is the best place to capture the western influence of the old days. Visit the Yuyuan Garden and the Old City. You will also have a visit to Shanghai Museum and silk museum. Enjoy Pujiang cruise in the evening at your own cost.


Day 07, 02 APR: SHANGHAI (B)

Today is a free day for yourself to explore this exciting city on your own.



You have a free time. Afterwards, you are transferred to Hangzhou and check into hotel.



Free time in the morning and afterwards, in the afternoon, you are transferred to the airport for your flight homewards to Sydney, Australia.


Day 10, 05 APR: SYDNEY

Arrive in Sydney in the morning. Your unforgettable China holiday ends.

PS: Melbourne passengers pay $150 for a Melbourne – Sydney return ticket to connect your flights between Melbourne and Sydney.
