ITINERARY

Day 01: SYDNEY/BRISBANE/MELBOURNE – SEOUL (INCHEON AIRPORT)                            

Sydney passengers will depart in the morning and arrive at Seoul Incheon International Airport in the evening. Melbourne or Brisbane passengers will fly to Sydney for a connecting flight to Seoul and arrive at the same time as Sydney passengers in the evening. For arrivals between the hours of 10:30am – 9:30pm into Incheon Airport Terminal 1, you will meet the tour guide on the 1st Floor Arrival Hall at Door 12. For guests arriving at Terminal 2, please make your own way by airport terminal bus to Terminal 1 to meet the guide for a group transfer. Guests who arrive before or after the designated time can take the free hotel shuttle to the hotel at Gate 14, Terminal 1. (The hotel check-in time is after 3pm) *It is an approximately 10USD/per car to transfer to the hotel by taxi.

Day 02: SEOUL – GANGWON-DO (B.L.D)                                           

After breakfast, visit Korean Folk Village, it introduces traditional culture from the late Joseon period to both local and international visitors through cultural classes experience, shaman faith, seasonal customs and others. Afterwards, you can visit Nami Island, where the Korean drama “Winter Sonata” was recorded. The island is full of meadows and walking trails. The island is where the two main characters begin and end their dramatic love story. Soyang River Skywalk is a recently emerged attraction which is located in the middle section of a pedal lane. It is not only a beautiful viewing platform but also a good place for a photo stop. The Skywalk is a transparent glass bridge about 12 meters high from the water surface. The platform allows the illusion of walking on air and falling into the water, giving people a thrilling sensation. Then, go to Seoraksan National Park, which is one of the eastern peaks of South Korea located in a famous tourist attraction in Gangwon-do. Also known as snow-capped mountains, each year it snows early and remains there for a long time. Afterwards, visit Shinhungsa Temple. Dinner to the hotel to rest.

Day 03: GANGWON-DO – SEOUL (B.L.D)

After breakfast, visit the Imperial Palace of the Joseon Dynasty - Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Museum of Folklore, and watch the changing of the guard ceremony from the Joseon Dynasty. Later, go to Bukchon Hanok Village. It is a well-preserved 600-year-old Korean traditional residential area in Seoul. The village is best known for its eight views of Bukchon. Afterwards, visit the N Seoul Tower (Photostop only). Continue to visit one of Korea's most representative spots- Namdaemun Market for shopping. Then, check out the Trick Eye 3D Art Museum before dinner. Return to the hotel for the night.

After breakfast enjoy a free day in Seoul.

Day 05: SEOUL (INCHEON AIRPORT) – OSAKA (KANSAI AIRPORT) (B)                      

After breakfast, take a shuttle bus to Incheon Airport and fly to Kansai Airport, Osaka. When you arrive, our guide will be onsite to assist you to take a train or bus to the hotel. Please go to the meeting point for pick up: South Arrival Gate, T1, Kansai Airport. Hotel check-in is available after 3pm with your passport.

Day 06: OSAKA – HIROSHIMA (B)

After breakfast, proceed to Hiroshima. Upon arrival, take a ship to Miyajima, which is one of the top three scenic spots in Japan. It has long been regarded as an Island of Gods on the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. It is a romantic and historical island where Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage Site, is located, along with the Virgin Forest of Mt. Misen, and numerous preserved shrines, temples and historical monuments. Then, visit Itsukushima Shinto Shrine, the Floating Shrine on the Sea, which has more than 1400 years of history and fits well with the Prussian blue sea and the green of the virgin forest, recreating the elegance of the Heian era. Lunch and dinner are at your own arrangement.

Day 07: HIROSHIMA – OSAKA (B)

After breakfast, visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a memorial commemorating one of the darkest moments in Japanese history. Originally the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. It was the only structure that wasn't completely levelled after the devastating nuclear attack in 1945, used to be the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. Continue to head to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum displays the items left by the victims and related materials of the atomic bombing with the goal of promoting peace in the hope that history won’t be repeated. Take the coach back to Osaka. Lunch and dinner are on your own arrangement.

Day 08: OSAKA – KYOTO (by bullet train) (B.L)                        

In the morning, visit the Osaka Fish Market-Kuromon Market and enjoy a variety of fish and sushi. Afterwards, visit Osaka's landmark - Osaka Castle Park. Then, accompanied by a guide, take the Shinkansen (high-speed train) to Kyoto (Baggage will be taken with you). In the afternoon, visit the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a World Cultural Heritage site and the oldest temple in Kyoto, and stroll along the Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Streets. Later on, visit Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine where the locals worship for a good harvest and success in business. The seemingly endless path of vibrant orange torii gates leading up to Mt. Inari makes for an impressive setting and is one of the most famous images of Japan. Dinner is at your own arrangement.

Day 09: KYOTO (B.L)

After breakfast, head to Arashiyama Area. Enjoy some of Kyoto's most picturesque scenery by the Sagano Scenic Railway. Visit Togetsukyo Bridge and walk through Bamboo Forest. After that, visit the Nijo Castle, it is one of the best-known castles in Japan, due to its historical importance for Edo period and UNESCO World Heritage status. Here, you could also enjoy a great view in all seasons. Then, proceed to Gion. It is a good place to experience the ancient charm and culture of Kyoto. Visit Yasaka Shrine, the shrine is almost always buzzing with energy, with eager devotees flock to receive blessings and pray for good fortune. Walk on Hanamachi Street, the most stylish geisha district in Japan from the Edo period. In the evening, you may see some geishas passing by on the street. Dinner is at your own arrangement.

Day 10: KYOTO – HAKONE (B.L.D)

After breakfast, proceed to Hakone and stop by the Jewellery Store. Later on, visit a Tea House in Shizuoka to learn about the traditional tea culture of Japan and have a rest here. After arriving in Hakone, transfer to hotel for the night.

Day 11: HAKONE – TOKYO (B.L)

In the morning, take a boat to see the beauty of Lake Ashi. Lake Ashi is a great place to see the views of Mt Fuji. Afterwards, visit Mt. Fuji 5th Station, located halfway up the mountain (If weather does not permit, you will visit Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center instead). Head towards Oshino Hakkai. The bridges and pathways lead you around and over the tranquil ponds there. The traditional buildings, slowly spinning water wheels and amazing view of Mt. Fuji all transport you to another era. Afterwards proceed to Tokyo and have a photo stop at Tokyo Tower. Enjoy your time in Shibuya at the center of Tokyo's cutting-edge culture. Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Day 12: TOKYO (B.L)

After breakfast, visit the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens. Imperial Palace is the home of the Emperor of Japan. The view of the famous Nijubashi Bridge is highlight of the garden. See the tallest structure in Japan – Tokyo Skytree from afar. Later on, visit Sensoji Temple, which is the oldest temple in Tokyo, surrounded by imposing gates and the vibrant stalls of Nakamise Dori. Sensoji is a must-see destination during your trip in Japan. Visit the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a pleasant and refreshing escape from Tokyo's concrete cityscape. After that, visit the Ginza Tokyu Plaza, Ginza is the opulent downtown district and offers the best in fine dining and luxury brand shopping. Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Day 13: TOKYO – SEOUL – SYDNEY/MELBOURNE/BRISBANE (B)                       

After breakfast, take limousine bus from the hotel to the airport for the homebound flight to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will fly overnight.

 

Day 14: SYDNEY, MELBOURNE or BRISBANE

Sydney passengers will arrive in the morning. Melbourne or Brisbane passengers will connect your domestic flight to Melbourne or Brisbane from Sydney. Your unforgettable South Korea and Japan tour ends.
