ITINERARY

Day 01: SYDNEY/MELBOURNE – SAIGON  

Depart to Saigon, Vietnam in the morning and arrive in the evening. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Int’l Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, you will be picked up and transferred to your 4* hotel. You will stay overnight in Saigon.

 

Day 02: SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS – SAIGON (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

07:15: Depart for Cu Chi Tunnels.

09:30: Arrive at Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh) and proceed to an underground hut to watch a short video and presentation about Cu Chi tunnels before having a real hand-on experience of what it took to live in the tunnels. Afterward, taste test the steamed tapioca root which is the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war. For those interested, there is an opportunity to fire off an AK47 or M16 with real ammunitions at the nearby shooting range. Leave Cu Chi Tunnels at noon and return back to Saigon for your own lunch and dinner. Stay overnight at your 4* hotel in Saigon.

 

Day 03: SAIGON FREE DAY (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. You may either explore Saigon by yourself or join one of our Optional seat-in-coach Tours around Saigon. Stay overnight at your 4* hotel in Saigon.

Day 04: SAIGON – DANANG – HOI AN (B)

Following breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Danang. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to Hoi An whose sixteen-century ancient town centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will have free time to get to discover more of the town or shopping. Lunch and dinner not included today. Stay overnight at 4* hotel in Hoi An.

 

Days 05 - 06: HOI AN (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. You may either explore Hoi An by yourself or join a Seat-in-coach Tours around Hoi An. Stay overnight at 4* hotel in Hoi An.

Day 07: HOI AN – DANANG – HA NOI (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. You are free to transfer to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport you will be transferred to the colonial-style Hanoi City centre for lunch followed by check into your first-class hotel. You will be free to discover Vietnam’s Capital at your own pace. Stay overnight at 4* hotel in Hanoi.

 

Day 08: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (B.L.D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from Hanoi through the Red River Delta to the beautiful Ha Long Bay, awarded World Heritage status since 1994. The scenic drive will pass through some of the rural landscapes before arriving at  Ha Long Bay. A Bay with more than 3,000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes.

11:30 – 12:15: Arrival at Hon Gai International Harbor.

12:30 – 13:00: Welcome Drink. Depart to Bai Tu Long Bay.

13:00 – 15:30: Enjoy Lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way.

15:30 – 17:30: Transfer from boat to rowing boat to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Rowers are local people wearing traditional costume. It’s the opportunity to see the fisher’s daily lives at sea.

17:30 – 18:30: Return to boat - continue cruising through the bay.

18:30 – 19:30: Anchor at Cong Do Area.

19:30 – 21:00: Savor a delicious Set Dinner in dining room.

21:00 – 06:30: Relax, enjoy the fresh air and overnight on board your junk.

Stay overnight on a 4* junk boat.

 

Day 09: HA LONG BAY – HANOI (B.L)

06:30 – 06:45:  Enjoy the Sunrise over the Bay.

06:45 – 07:45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in dining room.

07:45 – 09:00: Explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.

09:00 – 09:30: Check-out of cabins and settle bills – Luggage collection.

09:30 – 10:30: Enjoy international Brunch served in dining room.

10:30 – 11:00: Arrival at the pier. Then drive back to Hanoi for overnight stay at 4* hotel in Hanoi.

 

Day 10: HANOI – SIEM REAP (B.D)

You are at leisure in Hanoi until you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On arrival in Siem Reap, which is best known as the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor Temples, check into your first-class hotel. You are then free at your leisure or explore  the Psar Chass - the “Old Market” for some souvenir shopping or have some drinks at Pub Street. Stay overnight in a 4* hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 11: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – ANGKOR WAT – SIEM REAP (B.L)

For the early birds and photographers, we offer Angkor Wat sunrise tour. This takes place from 4.30 AM to 6.00 AM so you will need wake up early to be transferred there by tuk tuk. Afterward, you will be taken back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at the hotel, hop on the car and head towards the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its majestic doors and artifacts followed by the visit of monumental temple of Bayon which faces the tropical forest as well as Baphuon Temple and Phimeanakas Mountains.  Later, visit the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo " Jewel of Crystal ", which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century. You will also visit Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was constructed by Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1150. He built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the Pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys and ditches is an ancient masterpiece of the architectural design and construction. Return to your hotel later this afternoon. You may spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight stay at a 4* hotel in Siem Reap.

 

Day 12: SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI – SIEM REAP (B.L)

This morning, discover the Angkor National Museum, artificats dating back to the Golden Era of the Khmer Kingdom. Lunch at a local restaurant. After an early afternoon at leisure, explore two less visited areas — Banteay Srei, also known as the “Citadel of Women,” and Banteay Samre, one of the most complete temple complexes in Angkor. Learn about the essential work of the Cambodia Clean Water Project, an A&K Philanthropy project that builds pumping wells in rural communities throughout the country. Dinner at your own expense. Stay overnight stay at a 4* hotel in Siem Reap.

 

Day 13: SIEM REAP – FLOATING VILLAGE – SAIGON – SYDNEY/MELBOURNE (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to discover Tonle Sap Lake which is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. On arrival, embark a boat to cruise to a “floating village.” In the afternoon, you are transferred to Siem Reap Airport for your departure flight to Sydney or Melbourne via Saigon. Fly overnight.

 

Day 14: SYDNEY/MELBOURNE ARRIVAL

You arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Vietnam and Cambodia tour ends.
