DESCRIPTION

In Egypt, our tour will take in Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, Egyptian Museum and grand Bazaar in Cairo as well as a Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor with shore excursions to Temple of Kom Ombo in Kom Ombo, Horus Temple in Edfu and Karnak Temple in Luxor. With all the stunning heritage sights, monuments and historical relics, your breath will be definitely taken away from the very beginning to the end. Last but not least, we will continue to travel from Cairo, Egypt to Aqaba, Jordan by ferry on the Red Sea to start our mysterious Jordan tour. We will first proceed to Wadi Rum to witness the astonishing wild desert landscape, continue to the lost city of Petra, marching along the Siq to view the majestic Treasury, soak yourself in the Dead Sea, lowest point on earth, visit the memorial church of Moses on Mt. Nebo, explore Amman, Jordan’s capital city and marvel at Jerash, an old Roman ruin. All in all, this is an exotic experience you should not miss out in your lifetime.

ITINERARY

Day 01: AUSTRALIA – DUBAI or ABU DHABI – CAIRO 

Depart to Cairo, Egypt on Emirates or Etihad Airways via Dubai or Abu Dhabi in the afternoon and fly overnight.

 

Day 02: CAIRO ARRIVAL (D)

You arrive at Cairo airport. Our representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport for immigration and customs. You will be then transferred to the hotel. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in your hotel in Cairo.

Day 03: CAIRO (FREE or OPTIONAL TOUR TO ALEXANDRIA) (B.D)

Today you are free at leisure to explore Cairo on your own or choose to have an optional tour to Alexandria visiting the Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, Quitbai Citadel and El Montazah Gardens, lunch during the tour then back to Cairo. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Cairo.

Day 04: CAIRO – ASWAN (OVERNIGHT TRAIN) (B.D)

After breakfast at hotel, start your sightseeing tour visiting Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. Then drive to visit the Egyptian Museum, Papyrus Institute, perfume palace & Old Souk of Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Afterwards, you are transferred to Giza Railways Station to take the night sleeper train to Aswan. Have your dinner & overnight at train.

Day 05: ASWAN – EMBARKATION OF NILE CRUISE SHIP (B.L.D)

Breakfast at Sleeper train. Upon arrival at Aswan, you are met and assisted by our guide in Aswan. Start your sightseeing tour visiting High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk. Then embark on the Cruise ship. Your lunch and dinner will be on board the cruise ship.

Day 06: KOM OMBO (OPTIONAL TOUR TO ABU SIMBEL) (B.L.D)

Today you can choose to have an optional tour to Abu Simbel (282kms and 04 Hrs & 30min). Our ship will sail to Kom Ombo. After lunch, visit the temple of Kom Ombo. After that, continue to sail to Edfu. Have your dinner and overnight on board the cruise ship.

Day 07: EDFU – LUXOR (B.L.D)

Breakfast on board. And then visit Horus Temple in Edfu. After that, continue to sail to Esna and Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor, visit Karnak Temple. Have your dinner and stay overnight on board the cruise ship.

Day 08: LUXOR – CAIRO (B.L.D)

After breakfast onboard, disembark the cruise ship. You can then choose an optional tour to Luxor Temple. You will travel to visit the Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Memnon Colossi. Afterwards you are transferred to Luxor Railways Station to take a overnight sleeper train to Cairo. Have your dinner and stay overnight at train.

Day 09: CAIRO (FREE or OPTIONAL TOUR) (B.D)

Breakfast at Sleeper train. Upon arrival at Cairo, you can choose to have an optional tour to visit Memphis & Saqqara. If not, you can have a free day to explore Cairo on your own. Have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Cairo.

Day 10: CAIRO – AQABA (RED SEA) BY FERRY BOAT (2 Hrs. sailing) (B.D)

Breakfast at hotel, early morning transfer to Nuweiba port to take the ferry boat to Aqaba. You’ll arrive in the picturesque resort town of Aqaba on the Red Sea and you will be met and assisted by our Jordan representative. After immigration and customs, you are transferred to hotel. You will have your free time to rest in Aqaba. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Aqaba.

Day 11: AQABA – WADI RUM (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel, today we drive you north to stunning Wadi Rum. You’ll head out for an exciting jeep tour, and then take a camel ride through the uniquely shaped landscape. You’ll spend the night in a Bedouin-style desert camp. You will have dinner and stay overnight in camp in Wadi Rum.

Day 12: WADI RUM – PETRA (B.D)

After breakfast, drive to Petra. On our way, we’ll stop to visit “Little Petra”. With a history dating back about 9,000 years, it is one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East. Continue to procced to Petra. Upon arrival, you are transferred to hotel. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Petra.

Day 13: PETRA SIGHTSEEING (B.D)

After breakfast at hotel, start your visit to the famous Lost City of Petra, an important junction for the Nabataean silk and spice trade routes. We’ll enter Petra through the Siq, an 800-metre-long gorge flanked by soaring cliffs, before we reach the incredible Treasury, hewn into the cliff face. After that, you are transferred back to hotel. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Petra.

Day 14: PETRA – DEAD SEA (B.D)

After breakfast at hotel, you are transferred to the north to visit Shobak Castle and the Crusader 

fortress of Kerak. We’ll then drive you to the lowest point on Earth - the Dead Sea. The salt content of the water here is four times that of most oceans, so you can float without even trying. You are transferred to hotel. Have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Dead Sea.

Day 15: DEAD SEA – MADABA – MT. NEBO – AMMAN (B.D)

After breakfast at hotel, you are transferred to Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox church of St George and the biblical site of Mt Nebo. This afternoon you’ll arrive in Amman, Jordan’s capital, and then take a short city-sightseeing tour. After that, you are transferred to hotel. You will have your dinner and stay overnight in hotel in Amman.

Day 16: JERASH EXCURSION (B.L.D)

After breakfast at hotel, you are transferred to visit the beautifully preserved Roman cities of Umm Qais and Jerash, as well as the impressive Ajloun Castle. Special Experience: This evening you will have a cooking class and enjoy our creations for our group farewell dinner.

Day 17: AMMAN – DUBAI or ABU DHABI – AUSTRALIA (B)

After breakfast at hotel, you are at leisure until transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for flight homewards to Australia via Dubai or Abu Dhabi on Emirates or Etihad Airways. End of service.

 

Day 18: AUSTRALIA

Arrive in Australia in the evening. Your unforgettable Egypt and Jordan tour ends.

An over day tour to Alexandria, visiting the Catacombs Pompey's Pillar, Quitbay Citadel and El Montazah Gardens, lunch during the tour then back to Cairo.

(Montazah Palace is a palace, museum and extensive gardens in the Montazah district of

Alexandria, Egypt. It was built on a low plateau east of central Alexandria overlooking a beach on the Mediterranean Sea. The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century.)

 

2. Abu Simbel ($180 per person)

Abu Simbel is a village in the Egyptian part of Nubia, about 240 kilometers southwest of Aswan and near the border with Sudan. As of 2012, it has about 2600 inhabitants. It is best known as the site of the Abu Simbel temples, which were built by King Ramses II.

 

3. Luxor Temple ($80 per person)

Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it is known as Ipet Resyt, "the southern sanctuary".

 

All the prices of our optional tours include transfers and transport, sightseeing with English speaking guide and entrance fees. Alexandria day tour also includes lunch.
