Special Promotion 11 Day China Ice Festival Tour 2018

Day 01, 11 Jan: Sydney – Shanghai

Depart to Shanghai on China Eastern Airlines in the morning and arrive in Shanghai in the evening.
On arrival in Shanghai you will be met by your friendly China guide and transfer to your 4 star Hotel where you will spend two nights.

Day 02, 12 Jan: Shanghai (B.L.D)
This morning you will visit the traditional Yu Gardens; the Old Chinatown with its twisting
alleyways & many shops and hawkers and of course the Bund. Then you are free to explore Shanghai at your own pace for the day. Visit a Silk Spin Mill and also Pudong area with its ultra-modern architecture.

Day 03, 13 Jan: Shanghai – Dalian (By flight) (B.L.D)

After breakfast, your guide meets you and transfers you to the Maglev station. Here you will get the opportunity to experience this high-speed wonder out to Pudong Airport for your China Eastern Airlines flight to Dalian. On arrival in Dalian you will be met by your friendly China guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 04, 14 Jan: Dalian – Shenyang (B.L.D)
Today you will visit some of the many Russian and Japanese style Streets. Afterwards, a visit to the BinHai Road; the North Giant Bridge, Tiger’s Land and the Xin Hai Square City Sculpture or the People’s Square. We depart Dalian by bullet train to Shenyang.

Day 05, 15 Jan: Shenyang (B.L.D)
The highlight for today in Shenyang is the renowned Shenyang old Forbidden City. Before the Qing Emperor defeated the peasant uprising army at the end of Ming dynasty and conquered Beijing, Shenyang was the capital city of the Qing Dynasty. Shenyang old Forbidden City is one of the only two large-scale palace complexes in China. Later you will visit the 918 Museum. This museum is dedicated to showing and explaining the many kinds of torture and killings that the Japanese inflicted on the local Chinese. For dinner this evening, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a local Lao Bian Dumpling Feast.

Day 06, 16 Jan: Shenyang – Changchun (B.L.D)
After breakfast you will farewell Shenyang and travel by coach to Changchun, the capital city of Jilin province. Upon arrival, you will visit the largest park - the Nan Hu Park. Here you will find a beautiful lake, weeping willow trees, winter flowers, singing birds and many traditional Chinese ancient buildings.

Day 07, 17 Jan: Changchun – Harbin (B.L.D)
In Changchun today you will visit the Imperial Palace used by the last emperor Pu Yi of the Qing Dynasty after 1924. We then continue on by coach to Harbin and upon arrival, you will check in to your 4 star hotel.

Day 08, 18 Jan: Harbin (B.L.D)
Harbin is infamous for its’ annual Ice festival and the city bears “Ice World” as its main claim to fame. Today after breakfast at your hotel you will depart to visit the St. Sophia Church, which was built in 1907 before heading to the Central Avenue of Harbin where you will be able to take in the many Russian- style buildings. This evening, after dinner, you will be transferred to the Ice & Snow World. After exploring the attractions and sculpture you will make your own way back to the hotel at leisure.

Day 09, 19 Jan: Harbin (B.L.D)
This morning you continue with a visit the famous Songhua River where there will be the opportunity to see the local winter swimmers exercise, one of the features of Harbin’s Ice & Snow Festival, then we go on to visit the Sun Island Snow Carving Exhibition. There will be plenty of time for you wander around the riverbank area or participate in local citizen’s amusement activities. After lunch, we will visit the Siberian Tiger Park. The Siberian tiger is considered an endangered species and in the 1980s, it was listed as one of the first-class national protected animals of China. After dinner you have the evening at leisure to perhaps explore the ice sculptures or the city of Harbin.

Day 10, 20 Jan: Harbin – Shanghai – Sydney (B)

After breakfast, you are free until transfer to airport for your China Eastern Airlines flight
homewards to Australia.

Day 11, 21 Jan: Arrival in Australia
Your tour to China’s Winter Wonderland comes to an end this afternoon when your China Eastern
Airlines flight touches down in Australia.

Tour Price: $2,980 per person, twin or double share. Single Supplement: $690

Tour price includes:
1. China Eastern economy class return ticket Sydney – Shanghai;
2. Airport tax and fuel surcharge (currently $180, subject to change);
3. China internal flights Shanghai – Dalian and Harbin – Shanghai and taxes;
