Hi Sarah,

Just wanted to let you know Peter and I had a wonderful time on our Asia Discovery Tour of Sri Lanka. Our Tour Guide did a fantastic job and we felt it was great value for money - especially the quality of the accommodation throughout. After our experience with the Sri Lanka Tour we are more than happy to travel with Asia Discovery again.

Kindest regards, Peter & Margaret

I thoroughly enjoyed my 17 Day Panoramic tour of Sri Lanka. The guide, Upali was excellent and very accommodating. Although in general Sri Lanka is a hot and humid country I enjoyed all the sightseeing. There were lots of interesting places and things to see. A particular highlight was Sigiriya Rock Fortress. When I travel with ADT I expect accommodation of at least 3 stars or more. My requirements are bed, toilet, shower and air conditioning. However the accommodation on this tour was truly amazing – way better than what I expected. Every hotel provided meals of a very high standard – great quality and huge choice of food. The Goldi Sands hotel was located on the beach in Negombo. The rooms were good and it had a nice pool and was close to the beach. The Palm Garden Village Hotel in Anuradhapura was interesting. We arrived quite late – after dark. It looked like a huge ancient castle – but was in fact only 22 years old. The grounds and pool were both massive. Again the room was good. The Jetwing Lake hotel in Dambulla was at least 5 star. It was luxurious. The rooms were amazing with balconies and views over the 72 metre long pool! The OZO Hotel in Kandy was excellent. The Araliya Green Hills Hotel was quite different as we were out of the heat and humidity. It seemed more like a mountain resort. Again food, facilities and staff were all excellent. The Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa Hotel in Bentota was a resort with amazing facilities. The room was good and the pool again was huge. The beach was close by. Meals were fantastic and could be had indoors or outdoors.

Dear Allan;

On behalf of my wife and myself, I wish to thank you for a most enjoyable and informative holiday we had with you while on tour through China and Russia. The information provided by your local tour guides was excellent. We also appreciated the assistance they gave to the members of our tour group. We now have some very exclusive photographs, videos and memories of China and Russia which we can view and relive the holiday. In one word, the holiday provided by Asia Discovery Tours was ...EXCELLENT. Please also pass on our thanks to Fiona...She is a very thoughtful and caring young lady who went out of her way to assist my wife when she injured her toe. We have also passed on the same comments, as stated above, to our friends when asked about our holiday. Also, if we decide to travel again to that part of the world, we would definitely give you the first option. MANY THANKS.

Kind Regards, Tom & June EASTON

Dear David and Staff,

Just wanted to let you know that we thought the Russia and Silk Road trip was just wonderful. We really enjoyed all aspects of the tour and especially appreciated the trips to the museums and the ancient sites.Having such a reliable escort like Monica all the way was an extra bonus as it gave us assurance that someone was around to help if required. She was particularly great dealing with the tour guides in each place and for communicating with locals in China. We hope to do a fourth trip with you as your programs are so well thought out and planned. Thank you again.

Hello Alan, Thank you for the great trip, it has taken us a week to recover.

Your contact in Egypt, Maged Salek is excellent. Maged can organise anything. He contacted us nearly everyday to see that all was going well and to see what he could do to help us. He made a proposal to us that we accepted-and were so pleased that we did- that we could pay him a set amount and that he would look after all of the tipping everywhere-for everything in Egypt- it worked out so well. Egypt was great - there are only a couple of changes that I would make, with hindsight-but really everything was terrific. We dined with our guide in Alexandria and her son and his friends-a real experience. In Luxor we went to our guide's home for dinner and met his family-the next night we took them out for dinner. We had coffee a couple of times Maged and he called for us for lunch a few times Jordan was just as good- in Petra we meet the representative of the company-I have forgotten his name- his organisation could not have been better- after the night walk in Petra he had organised a free Turkish bath if we wanted it, in Amman on our day at leisure he organised for the driver to call for us and take us to the city markets-one phone call and the driver was available tp pick us up. We did not have a guide in Jordan-only local guides at certain venues-but this was not a problem- the driver who collected us from the ferry and drove us in Jordan was great. He tried to explain everything-did a good job. Water was supplied each day on the coach in both Egypt and Jordan -in Jordan we not only got cold water but also cold juice or cold non alcoholic beer- it just made the trip so good. Last but not least by any means- our daughter's food needs were well and truly catered for- the guides new in advance-the hotels and restaurants and the boat chefs could not have done more for her. She sends her thanks-she had already told some of her friends that have the same eating problems about the trip and how well she was catered for.

Hi Wendy,

I just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday I have had.I will never forget my trip with Asia Discovery Tours to the Japanese International Quilting Exhibition 2008. The trip was wonderful. We saw traditional Japan and modern Japan and could not have been possible without our wonderful tour guide Celeste. She showed us Buddhist and Shinto shrines temples, deer parks with added features of the Japanese children dressed in traditional costumes at the temples for blessings. Both traditional and modern accommodation. The food was great especially the tradional Japanese cuisine was extra specially wonderful. The scenery from Mt Fuji to hot springs, leaves turning different colours, the modern buildings to the traditional shrines, castles and mountains draped in cloud. Everything was spectacular.

Tricia Sewell and John Scriven were wonderful embassadors of Asia Discovery Tours. Tricia was a calming influence on everyone, when things became sometimes heated because of the tight schedule we were all on. Thank you for introducing me to Tricia, I feel I have known her for years but it was only two weeks. The quilt show was great, wonderful and a total enjoyment to me. I learnt some new techniques which I will pass on to my fellow quilters. The shopping was excellent and not just at the quilt show but throughout the trip. I especially enjoyed the trip to the Crystal Forest. I do hope to do more trips away but I believe nothing will compare with my trip to Japan. Once again thank you for advertising the trip of a lifetime for me.

Thank you Allan Wendy John & Trish for a very enjoyable holiday to Japan. It was very informative and most enjoyable. Our guide on the tour Miss Celeste Chai, was brilliant, funny, and lots of fun. Please pass on to her employer our best wishes. Regarding the flight ...it was far too long but the return trip in the A380 was just great.... I certainly would travel, and recommend your company to any friends of mine who need to travel to Asia kind regards

Dear John,
I want to thank you for the wonderful Textile Tour to China. Everything went smoothly. The hotels were good, the food outstanding and the tour guides looked after us very well. The drivers did exceptionally well considering the traffic in the cities. There was harmony among the group of ladies, and you were very helpful and a lot of fun, thank you. The trip was value and it would be very nice to do another similar trip. We saw so much, it was quite mind boggling. The length of time was just right. Once again, thank you for a delightful trip.
Warm regards, Jackie Livingstone

Dear Allan,
I spoke to David on my return to advise you that all went well with the trip and to thank you for allowing me to lead the trip. Everything seemed to go very well and hopefully, you've received some good feedback from the others. The trip was well-organised and run, both in Korea and Japan. Accommodation and food were great, although not all the ladies enjoyed Asian food. Cindy, our tour guide, in particular, tried to arrange a mix of Asian and Western style food, which was appreciated. Thanks again. My regards to both you and David.

Dear Alan,
Please thank your staff for organising the DuQuilters' Adventure tour to Japan in November, 2009. The trip was most enjoyable and successful, due mostly, to the expertise of the guide, Tony Heng. I would like you to know that he was friendly, businesslike, very knowledgeable and efficient in ensuring that the tour ran smoothly each day. He was considerate of the ladies, helpful in any way he could be, and his care was appreciated by all of us. Tony has been guiding tours in Japan for 22 years and his knowledge and language skills are excellent. His sense of humour was appreciated by us all and we enjoyed many happy and humorous moments. He was adaptable and prepared to change arrangements in order to ensure the smooth running of the tour. Knowing that Sunday is a particularly busy day for visiting temples in Japan, he changed the visit to Kiyomizudera in Kyoto in Kyoto to Monday, thus making the visit much more pleasant for everyone, including the bus driver. Tony also accepted the suggestion from me that we could visit Nishijin Textile Centre which was not on the itinerary, but I knew that the ladies would appreciate the visit to see the Kimono Parade and silk weaving and associated crafts. Tony spent time choosing appropriate restaurants to provide a variety of experiences for the group. As Tour Hostess, I really appreciated his friendly efficiency and we worked well together. I hope that this information will be shared with your tour organisers in Japan.

Yours sincerely, Lynn Hewitt
